SWOT analysis presentation by learners from all
participant’s
countries ( Italy, Ireland, Poland, Turkey ) and discussion after every presentation.

Thursday the 10h of May 2017
|
||
Session was started by introduction of the Turkish partners and
presentation of their SWOT analysis.
Then FIRRIP continued with the workshop about “Understanding and realisation of rules of sustainable
educational organisation”.

Senior Club in Krzeszowice to attend the workshop
on “Introduction to
Eco-tourism: traditional dances and music as an example of eco-touristic
product and also a way to sustain the tradition”
After lunch there was a workshops on Intercultural diplomacy done by Kristin Brogan, ITT |

In the late afternoon participants had a chance to see first education
path in Raclawka valley. This is a picturesque
eco-path which is in the National Reserve of Raclawka valley. There are
couple of educational board and participants learnt about the geological
history and also about the flora and fauna.

Friday the 11th of May 2017
|
||
Start 9.00am
The 3rd day was dedicated to Eco-tourism Workshops by ITT. First lecture
was done by Catherine Moylan.
Introduction tourism industry and sustainable development in tourism – definitions, background.
Providing a baseline between tourism and intangible cultural heritage,
including risks and opportunities. She also presented existing eco-paths in
Itreland.

At 11:00 am
two representatives of Polish National
Agency joined project participants for monitoring visit and also to
give participants chances to ask questions.
Second lecture was done by Angie Baily. The lecture was on Introduction of
governmental policies on eco-tourism and sustainable development and
undertaken actions to reduce tourism footprints, activity of WTO. Tourist
ethics according to WTO. She also presented tourism from Chinese perspective.

The thirds
lecture was done by Valerie McGrath about Presenting case study and best
practices in sustainable development in tourism.

For dinner
participants paid visit to local monastery in Czerna. This is due to the
fact that the monastery is located in the National Reserve Park of Eliaszówka Valley. The participants
were presented the history of the place by a local guide. The dinner was also
organised in the restaurant run by monastery to taste their cuisine.

Saturday the 12th of May 2017

Start 9.00am
Selma showed movie about Mardin. Then asked a question what convictions
we had about Mardin and Turkey? Then she provided information about
eco-touristic paths in her region.
Next Kristin Brogan from ITT completed her workshops on Intercultural
communication.

The afternoon session was devoted to the education about the region of
Krzeszowice. Participants were taken to the educational eco-path designed and
done by Association„Ostaniec”. The path starts at the cave of
Bats and there is an exhibition of all kinds of stones that represent
geological history of the region.

9.00am - 10:45 am
The session started by SUTOMA Tempus project presentation by Kristin
Brogan. This is a project that as the outcome has got learning sessions about
tourism. Two of the sessions are about sustainable development in tourism
that could be used in our project.
Next participants were devided into two groups

Wednesday the 6th of December 2017

9.00am start of the meeting
Meeting was opened by the Deputy of the headmaster, who greeted all participants. Next coordinator greeted all participants, thanked the deputy for warm welcome. All participants introduced themselves and provided information on their roles in organisation and the project.
Then there was introduction of organizations:
- Ewelina Firszt presented FIRRIP and their previous activities connected to eco-tourism and sustainable development;
- Ivo Zambello presented Cer.co.gem and their involvement with twin cities;
- Kristin Brogan - presented ITT activities and the local touristic events;
- Maurice O’Brien - spoke about ITT Tourism Department and the current statistics about tourism in region and involvement with local stakeholders;
- Hakki Ayaz - spoke about institutions and examples of training provided on local traditional handcraft.
The headmaster of the training institution joined the morning session as well.
13:00 - 13:45 Lunch at school prepared by the group of learners during their culinary training session.

13:45 - 14:15pm
After lunch and meeting with learners at culinary classes a lll partners were visiting adult education centre and the classes of traditional art: making leather bags, soap shaped items class for disabled adult learners, silver jewellery production, glass painting with gold, turkish language reading and writing classes for adult with low level of basic skills.
18:30 - Dinner at Laylan Cafe - Kurdish cuisine, followed by a live Kurdish music concert.

Thursday the 7th of December 2017
|
In the afternoon partners visited couple of places that should be recognised as eco-touristic examples: ancient cave monasteries - this is a path that is not know and could be used as example of eco-path,
visiting Deyrul Zaferan monastery,
Visiting Zinciriye Medreseah,
visiting old bazar.
18:00 Farewell dinner with head of Institution in a restaurant in the new part of the city.
